The Summit is located at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC), the premier conference destination in the capital city.

Getting Around

Taxis

The city has a fleet of more than 6,000 taxis which can easily be identified by their silver colour and yellow light on the roof. Taxis charge by the meter and operate on demand, or by reservation. The fleet includes clean energy vehicles and electric vehicles to enhance the sustainability impact of the city’s public transport sector.

Ride Apps

Taxi companies serving the city via app booking include Abu Dhabi Taxi, Uber and Careem. As demand for taxis surge during the Summit period, we recommend you download these apps to ensure you have several transport options available to you at any given time.

Car

If you are an international visitor electing a self-drive option, note that driving across the UAE and in Abu Dhabi is on the right-hand side of the road. The venue has 6,000 parking spaces available across 2 on-site carparks and cost approximately $15 per day.

The following approximate travel times can be used to plan your commute to the World Future Energy Summit.

Abu Dhabi Int'l Airport: 20 minutes

Al Maktoum Int'l Airport: 60 minutes

Al-Ain Downtown: 1hr 45 minutes

Dubai Downtown: 90 minutes 

Dubai Int'l Airport: 90 minutes

Sharjah Downtown: 2hrs 30 minutes

International Travel

Flights

Abu Dhabi International airport is located 15 minutes from the ADNEC. More than 50 global airlines, including the official national carrier Etihad Airways, operate a daily schedule of flights connecting the city to more than 80 destinations and countries across the world.



Visas

Visa requirements vary. For some nationalities, visas are available on arrival. Visas can also be obtained through your consulate or facilitated with a travel booking on Etihad Airways.  You may also download a visa invitation letter - available from the link below- to assist with your onward application.
