The Stand construction guidelines can be found in the Exhibitor Manual (Section 2). The stand building contractor must adhere to the following points:
- Stand walls must be no higher than 4 meters
- Perimeter walls on an aisle should be no longer than 4m without a natural break of 1.8m wide
- Where a stand joins another and where the wall is higher than the neighbouring wall (no more than 4m), the visible area must be painted in a neutral colour to present a neat appearance on the neighbour’s side
- Branding and advertising is not permitted on this part of the wall
- The back wall of a neighbouring stand may not be used
- Space Exhibitors are fully responsible for building their own stand. They should appoint a contractor for their stand build up and break down.
- Shell Scheme stands will be provided by the organisers and will be delivered to exhibitors ready for set-up.
A complex structure is a form of construction of any height, which may require input from a structural engineer. If a stand is not constructed from a ‘shell scheme’, it is the responsibility of the stand designer to determine whether the construction is complex or not. Failing to report the complexity of the stand will result in a penalty fee to be determined by the organisers.
Examples of complex structures include:
- Any structure, over 4m in height, which requires structural calculations
- Multi-storey stands
- Temporary tiered seating
- Platforms over 0.6m in height and all platforms and stages for public use
- Stage (regardless of height)
- Tents/ Marquees
The review and/or inspection of complex structures conducted by the venue (I.E. the ADNEC structural engineer) comes at a cost of AED 3,000 +VAT and shall be applicable foreach complex structure item. A 50% surcharge will be levied for each incomplete or late submission of complex structure related documentation, which will automatically be deducted from the exhibitor’s security deposit.
The submission process and terms will be explained in detail as part of the exhibitor manual and should be submitted no later than 15 days prior to build-up in order to avoid the 50% surcharge.
Important Note:
This fee will be invoiced to the contractors that were appointed by the exhibitors to build their stands. The organisers are not responsible for any agreement or communication between the exhibitors and their appointed contractors.
It is the contractor’s responsibility to report a complex structure and contractors are NOT entitled to ask the organisers to invoice exhibitors unless there was a prior written approval between the exhibitor and their vendor. Complex stand fees are the responsibility of the contractor and the exhibitor, and the organiser is in no way responsible for their communication.
No, you would need a reinforced wall panel, a display panel or a TV stand. A reinforced wall panel is a 5mm thick wooden panel which provides support to anything you want to hang on the wall.
Shell scheme wall panels can hold a hanging item of up to 2kg in weight. Please contact the official stand contractor for more details.
You can apply vinyl stickers or approved double-sided tape directly to your wall, but no permanent fixings such as hooks, screws, nails or paint. If you want to install a completely seamless graphic panel, please contact the event's official stand contractor.
All Exhibitors are requested to coordinate with the World Future Energy Summit’s official freight forwarder for the delivery of their materials inside the halls. Please note, no other freight forwarder will be permitted to enter the halls.
