Andreas Dietrich Kopp
Dr. Andreas Kopp is Lead Economist at the World Bank, Global Practice Transport and ICT. He is mainly working on development and environment policy issues concerning transport infrastructure and services. Before joining the Bank in 2007 he was Chief Economist of the European Conference of Ministers of Transport (ECMT) and Head of Research of the Joint OECD/ECMT Transport Research Centre. Until 2002 he was Professor of Economics at the Technical University of Dresden. Dr. Kopp holds a PhD in development economics having studied at the European University Institute (Florence, Italy) and the University of Giessen (Germany). He has done post-doctoral work at the economics department of the University of California at Berkeley.
