Eng. Ali Abdulrahman Al-Hazmi is Saline Water Conversion Corporation Governor. He has a Bachelor in Mechanical Engineering from Western Michigan University, United States, and Master Degree in Mechanical Engineering from University of Michigan. He has 31 years of professional and senior leadership experience in the refining and industrial sectors. He possesses strong leadership and management skills, and is technically competent in handling and managing complex assignments at strategic Kingdom refining and industrial facilities such as Ras Tanura Refinery (Kingdom’s biggest refinery), Riyadh Refinery, Saudi Aramco Shell Refinery (SASREF) and Luberef. Recently appointed by a Royal Decree as Governor for Saline Water Conversion Corporation responsible for the desalination of seawater producing electric power and supplying various regions in the Kingdom with desalinated water. Prior to his recent position as SWCC Governor, his extensive experience history included the following positions:

  • President, Saudi Aramco Shell Refinery Company in Jubail, General Manager, Ras Tanura Refinery (RTR), Saudi Aramco: November 2012 to October 2013
  • President & CEO, Luberef Refinery, Saudi Aramco & Jadwa JV: January 2011 to November 2012
  • Manager, Riyadh Refinery Department, Saudi Aramco: January 2008 to January 2011
  • Superintendent, Operations Division, Saudi Aramco, Riyadh Refinery: January 1994 to December 2007
