The energy efficiency industry has been growing at an unstoppable pace for the last few decades. However, there is certainly much more to be done in terms of integrating sustainability practices and technologies on business and consumer level. Governments are continuously demonstrating a pro-active support of clean technologies, be it through legislation that imposes environmentally responsible standards or through subsidization of sustainability initiatives. Many countries around the world are now planning to implement new building regulations to drive developers to adopt more energy efficient solutions.
Buildings are responsible for 60% of the world’s electricity consumption and one third of greenhouse gases (GHG) emissions from energy use, which makes them the single largest source of GHGs produced by human activity. A shift in consumer perception can make a world of difference. The examples are plenty: a global shift to energy-efficient lighting systems, for instance, could potentially save up to $151 billion in energy bills, which represents 40% reduction in energy use overall, according to industry research and International Energy Agency figures.
With that in mind, the World Future Energy Summit (WFES) 2014 introduces the Sustainable Living Expo (SLE), a concept that is based on water and energy efficient solutions for urban environments, aiming to promote sustainable development. The Sustainable Living Expo will be located on the show floor at WFES 2014 and will include the Eco-home; an actual-size house that was showcased for the first time at WFES 2013, Eco-hotel and Eco-city.
Be part of the SLE and get the opportunity to enjoy a range of benefits including:
- Prominent display and tags at the selected feature
- 9 sqm shell scheme stand in the SLE
- A dedicated promotion to all pre-registered visitors highlighting the participating companies in the SLE
- One complimentary delegate pass to the WFES technical conference
- 15% discount on additional tickets purchased
And much more...
