This session will examine the role that various renewable energy technologies will have in the future world generation portfolio. Will there be a wider range of technologies, or will the world have picked its ‘winners’ already? The session will also examine the potential ‘hubs’ for deployment and manufacturing of renewable energy technologies.
In particular, the future role of the southern hemisphere in manufacturing and deployment will be examined. Understanding the technology mix of the future is vital for present day efforts, and will ensure expertise can be developed and maintained within the sector.
