DUBAI, 15 OCT: Aiming to promote oil-rich UAE as a global leader in sustainable development, Abu Dhabi will host a major summit, the largest gathering on sustainability in the Middle East.
The Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week from January 13-17 next year will allow governments, businesses and organisations to demonstrate their sustainability achievement and share their expertise.
Hosted by energy company 'Masdar', participants from 150 countries, including leaders from governments, private sector, NGOs and other stakeholders will assemble to address the business, technology and financial challenges required for sustainable development.
“Meeting the challenges of sustainability is vital. Today more than ever, the time is now for building a clean energy future through comprehensive, action- oriented solutions,” Mr Al Jaber, CEO of Masdar, said.
