Schneider Electric, the global specialists in energy management, announced the launch of Acti 9, a complete final distribution system that provides innovative load monitoring and control, and easily connects to any facility management system and serves as an essential element in energy efficiency solutions.
With five generations and 40 years of industry experience in the design and manufacture of final low-voltage modular systems, Acti 9's key feature is absolutely safe and simple installation and maintenance.
Part of a region wide roll out across the UAE, Oman, Kuwait and Qatar, the Acti 9 Dubai and Abu Dhabi launch events welcomed a range of customers and interested parties including end users, consultants, utilities, contractors, distributors and panel builders.
Welcoming the guests, Goktug Gur, Country President, UAE and Oman, Schneider Electric, said, "Schneider Electric understands the need for simple, safe, error-free installation, performance and maintenance. Therefore, we designed the Acti 9 and its Smartlink communication system, which is simple to use, ready-to-connect, and easy to integrate with facility management architecture. It combines basic control with optimum protection, and has become the new, major component for energy efficiency solutions, even in the most demanding environments."
Another important feature offered by Acti 9 and unique to the industry is an unprecedented level of safety. Explaining this, Gur said, "VisiSafe provides reinforced insulation on its miniature and residual current circuit breaker ranges. Combined with its Class 2 front face, where surface-to-internal clearances are more than twice the industry standard, the Acti 9 guarantees the downstream circuit is always safe, regardless of overvoltage conditions, wear or operator experience."
With flexible and robust Modbus communications, and pre-fabricated wiring for instant, error-proof connectivity, Acti 9 saves 40% of time spent on control wiring. Additionally, its real-time data routed from panels and circuits allows customers to truly fine-tune their electrical loads to reduce costs, allocate costs and manage energy.
The system auto-adapts to customer parameters so it can integrate quickly and adjust to any future requirements. Other Acti 9 components such as the integrated control circuit breaker Reflex iC60, remote control auxiliary RCA, automatic recloser auxiliary ARA, energy meters, contactors, and impulse relays work seamlessly with the entire modular system, making Acti 9 perfect for the dynamic requirements of a wide variety of energy efficiency applications. Exclusive features including VisiSafe, VisiTrip and a Class 2 front face also make Acti 9 safe to use and easy to maintain.
Acti 9 allows for efficient building management, eliminating downtime and increasing business competitiveness. All products are also made from 100% recyclable and recoverable materials, and are completely environmentally friendly.
Schneider Electrics extensive partner network of distributors, panel builders, and expert system integrators, help customers meet developing environmental certifications or requirements, both now and in the future, and help minimize impact from the design stage through the installation's lifetime of use and eventual recycling.
The event also featured a special kiosk showcasing Schneider Electric's Energy University, encouraging guests to enroll themselves to the portal. The evening event was concluded with a special dinner.
