Environnement SA, in cooperation with the Laboratory of Physics and Chemistry of the Environment and Space (LPC2E) of the CNRS (French National Centre for Scientific Research), have developed a fully-optical and patented* particle analyser providing continuous information on the concentration, size and the nature of inhalable particles (TSP, PM10, PM2.5, PM1). Completely autonomous, automatic and capable of detecting short events with high precision, the CPA (Continuous Particulate Analyser) provides real-time access to measurement parameters. This process previously required the use of expensive laboratory instrumentation such as mass spectroscopy, chromatography and microbalance equipment. This unique instrument will reduce by up to 10 times, the actual expenses, required to obtain the relative information.
