From the conference stage to the exhibition floor
The World Future Energy Summit (WFES) 2013 is delighted to open its Call forProposals for the forthcoming conference to be held 15-17 January 2013, AbuDhabi, United Arab Emirates, under the theme of “Powering the Future ofEnergy Innovation”.
Now, as the centerpiece of Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week, WFES will join forces with a series of other sustainability and renewable energy initiatives which include International Renewable Energy Conference (IREC) and International Water Summit (IWS). By bringing together WFES and IREC, Abu Dhabi is joining two of the biggest events in the calendar dedicated to the renewable energy community.
WFES 2012 Opening Ceremony speakers included the Premier of China and the Prime Minister of Korea, as well as the Presidentof the United Nations General Assembly and the Secretary General of the United Nations. Heads of State and Heads ofGovernment have used WFES as a unique global platform from which to launch initiatives, announce investment, make policystatements and deliver targeted media messages designed to raise awareness and increase business.
With interactivity and innovation as major themes throughout the event, there will be numerous opportunities for all attendeesand speakers to build connections, and interact with the renewable energy industry’s most senior players and decision makers.

To promote an informative and lively conference experience we are seeking out the newest ideas and success stories from the renewable energy industry to shape our conference programme.
Individuals and organisations from industry, business, government agencies,non-governmental organisations, those at the cutting edge of research and development, market analysts and representatives of the finance and investmentsectors, operating at the forefront of the international renewable energy and clean technology markets, are encouraged to submit proposals.
If you and your organisation are interested in sharing your first-hand experience, case studies, expertise and insights at thisunique, global Summit, we would be delighted to hear from you.
For 2013, WFES is focusing exclusively on renewable energy technologies and we are particularly interested in receivingpresentations on the following themes:
- The water-energy nexus
- Innovation in renewable energy technologies
- Disruptive technologies in renewable energy
- Key renewable projects in the MENA region
- Energy efficiency
Proposals should be submitted by 08 June 2012 and should include the following information:
- Proposed speaker’s name, position, affiliation, full contact details and short biography;
- Proposed title of talk or session, with a short summary of its content.
Proposals must be original, submitted in English and should not have been previously presented in a public forum.Proposals are subject to review and selection, and the submission of a proposal does not automatically guaranteeinclusion in the conference programme.
If accepted, Speakers will be expected to present novel, innovative material and must be fluent English speakers.
Successful contributions will be evaluated on the basis of originality, relevance, content, and expertise/experience ofthe speaker.
Please indicate if a speech might be suitable for audience interaction/live demonstration.
