The highly successful debut edition paved the way for an even larger and better attended World Future Energy Summit 2009, also held in Abu Dhabi.

The World Future Energy Summit in its 2nd edition, held on January 2009 has succeeded in attracting the world leaders attention and brought together along with the World future energy exhibition 18,420 visitors coming from 84 countries which included 1,124 conference delegates, 200 top key speakers, 804 Top VIPS, 734 members of the press and 144 official delegations representing 19 countries from the political, business, scientific, policy and education backgrounds such as:
