Visitors - About Abu Dhabi

Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates, is a leader in the energy world. Abu Dhabi is currently investing heavily to embrace renewable and sustainable energy technologies. At the first World Future Energy Summit two years ago, the Crown Prince H.H. General Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan announced an investment of $15 billion in clean energy, including the world’s largest carbon capture and storage project for as much as 15 million tons of CO2 annually from eight industrial plants.

MASDAR, as hosts of the summit, will have a large presence within the exhibition with opportunities for attendees to arrange meetings to find out more about the latest initiatives – including the MASDAR City development within Abu Dhabi, which promises to be the first zero-carbon, zero-waste city in the world.

WFES 2010 will be one of the essential communication tools that will showcase and strengthen Abu Dhabi’s commitment in future energy which will become a cornerstone of the energy revolution, making Abu Dhabi the first major hydrocarbon-producing economy.

Thank you for making the 2010 World Future Energy Summit the most successful to date
